I come from a Hindu Family and It was 17 years ago, that I found
The ONLY Way, The ONLY Truth and The ONLY Life in Jesus Christ
in the year 2007.
I was a teenager back then, struggling with my day to day teenage complications. How do I look? What should I do to fit in with my friends? These things may sound very simple, but at 15, this is all that matters to a youngster. In between all this, I felt confused, lost and defeated. Losing friends then making new ones, being happy one minute then feeling rejected the next. I felt like I didn’t have anyone to rely on. I needed to CHANGE things in my life. But the question was HOW?
It all started when my father having had his own journey in finding Christ, started to believe in Jesus and I saw him getting transformed. I didn’t know how to explain it but he was DIFFERENT. Positively different. Our family changed. The relationship between all four of us got better. There was a lot more understanding just as the Word of God promises in Philippians 4:7 “And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” I did not know this then, but there was a strong presence holding us together in a way that never had. The changes that Jesus Christ brought in my Father’s life inspired me.
That’s when I saw the real power of Christ. I knew that if Jesus could change my dad, my mom and my family, then he could change me. I let Jesus enter my heart and from that day till now, I have had the most beautiful journey of my life.
At the age of 18, I accompanied my father who was an Evangelist and Pastor, on one of the missions trips to different parts of India. That trip changed the course of my life and I knew then that God had called me for His purposes and used all my gifts and talents to build and expand His Kingdom.
I love to share the gospel through dance, drama and other creative methods and I have been producing music videos, short films and other Christian resources and I have travelled around the world to share the Gospel through music and media for the last 15 years. I have also loved serving as the youth director for my Satsang church in India.
God prompted me to study the scriptures more deeply in the last few years and I studied Theology to have a deeper insight and revelation of the word.
It has been a process of learning and following Jesus with all my heart, mind, soul and strength. I believe that Jesus gave me eternal life and this gift, which I received, is not because of my works but through His grace and unconditional love for me.
I love worshipping God and because God is worthy of all praise. I believe as you give yourself to God, he will transform you into what He wants you to be. He helps me change each day reminding me that I need to be Christ-like. He has taught me to love others the way he loved me. He holds my hand each day and walks me through my difficulties and challenges.
I wonder now, how I ever lived my life without Christ but I also thank God for revealing himself to me.
My prayer for all the young people is, may they not get scared by troubles but rely on God who will guide them through their storms.
My life changed because I saw the power of Christ through someone else. Are people seeing the power of Christ through you today?
